Best of Eden Online Community

Social Networking for the Competitive and Conscientious

Best of Eden, Inc. (BOE) was formed in September 2003 to develop, manufacture and market a highly interactive multimedia online networking community.  The Best of Eden website will reach out to its clients (potential members and strategic partners) to target their desired demographic, for the creation and implementation of competitions, promotions, events, and ad campaigns.   With its three main focus areas being on artistic creativity, competition and social consciousness, BOE’s goal is to be one of the pre-eminent online communities in world.

Challenge

With a great idea on their hands, BOE’s challenge was that they wanted to grow but they had limited financial resources.  The remedy for this would be to bring on investors, reach out to VCs and look for more investment capital.  Even though the idea of an online community wasn’t new their particular brand of an online social network was and provided something unique to the market. BOE needed to communicate their idea clearly, effectively and in a way that would impress investors, potential strategic partners and future advertisers for their site.

Solution

BOE knew their existing business plan, from when they first started their venture, didn’t read or communicate well enough to get investors interested in their business idea.  Cnvrgnc sat down with BOE’s Chief Principal & Innovation Advisor and conducted a company assessment of their overall position, objectives and strategies.  Based off of the conclusions, the Cnvrgnc team then created an updated business plan, mapping out the company’s vision and mission statements, as well as their short-term and long-term goals.  It also covered who their market is, their marketing strategies as well as a complete description of the actual service that they were providing and its value proposition.  Secondarily, a PowerPoint presentation was developed of the BOE business concept for sharing with audiences when that was more appropriate than presenting the business plan.
